Download and Install, Launch and Update, All went Well.

Previous setting were kept , except for:
Advanced, detect PUPs, which I am guessing has been removed from the main app.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

False Positive. It's not really a virus. If BitDefender hasn't deleted the file, upload the file to http://www.virustotal.com/ and let that site scan the file. This site scans the file using several (36) different virus databases. If only a few of the many say it's an issue, it's safe to ignore. If most of them say it's an issue, report it again.

I scanned clamscan.exe(in ClamWin_Portable_0.94.paf.exe),it's reported:
File clamscan.exe received on 09.12.2008 07:24:11 (CET)
Current status: finished

Result: 2/36 (5.56%)

Then I scanned clamscan.exe(in clamwin-0.94-setup.exe),it's reported:
File clamscan.exe received on 09.12.2008 07:31:27 (CET)
Current status: Loading ... queued waiting scanning finished NOT FOUND STOPPED

Result: 0/36 (0%)

Definitely a false positive then. If only 2 out of 36 detected an issue, it's safe to ignore. This isn't an exact rule, but in my mind, if 5 or more agree that it is an issue, i'll be concerned.

Part of the reason that scanning the same file, one coming from our installer, and one coming from the regular clamwin installer, gave different results is that PortableApps.com uses UPX to compress their applications before distribution. Some AV scanners detect only a few UPXed files as being infected for some reason.
