If you have a problem with AIM/ICQ in this version try changing in account > Modify > Advanced : uncheck: use client login

got a problem with 2.6.5, namely: the pidgin processes won't terminate after clicking quit, the contact list disappears but the processes are still there and have to be terminated in the task manager. I'm running an XP HOME SP3 machine. Can anyone confirm that?

How do you quit? You can't just close the buddy list, you have to go to Buddies > Quit, or right-click the tray icon and hit quit. It's been working as expected for me.

been using Pidgin for like 2 years, I do know how to quit Smile

There have been a lot of people that don't understand I was just checking. I can't say this is a bug myself, though occasionally the process will hang because of a plugin..

No crashes happening here; Pidgin has been rock-solid. Then again, I've only had it for a month or two and I've only used it half-a-dozen times.
btw, I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3.

Hope you can get your problem resolved!
