PortableApps.com has released Atomic Tanks Portable 4.6. Atomic Tanks is a game in which you control an overly-powerful tank and attempt to blow up other highly powerful tanks. Players get to select a number of weapons and defensive items and then attack each other in a turn-based manner. It's packaged as a portable app, so you can play wherever you'd like. This release updates Atomic Tanks to the latest version. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. Features

Atomic tanks is a multi-platform Scorched Earth clone similar to the Worms series of games. Annihilate the other tanks to earn money, then spend it on bigger and better shields and weapons to wipe out the opposition. It features a wide array of weapons, AI players, destructible landscape, weather, parachutes, teleports and a wide range of other features.

New in This Release

Atomic Tanks has been updated to the latest version.

Custom Background Image: Atomic Tanks now supports a custom background image. On the Graphic menu under Options, turn on Custom Background. Then save a bitmap of your choice in the AtomicTanksPortable\Data\settings\.atanks folder. The image should be in bitmap (.bmp) format and it'll help if the size of the bitmap is the same as your Atomic Tanks resolution. By default this is 800x600.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Atomic Tanks Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.
