logoCook Timer Portable 0.9.3 has been released. Cook Timer is a simple countdown timer that lets you count off a set amount of time. It's handy for remembering to take breaks, time-boxing your work day, cooking and more. It's packaged in Format so it can easily integrate with the Suite. And it's open source and completely free. Screenshot Cook Timer has presets for 3, 5, 10 and 15 minutes and lets you set a custom time in hours, minutes and seconds. A progress bar lets you easily see the time remaining visually. An alarm will beep briefly when time is up. It can optionally be set to beep until you disable it. The timer can also automatically restart once time is up allowing you to mark off a specific amount of time continuously.

Cook Timer Portable is packaged in a Installer so it will automatically detect an existing installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in Format, so it automatically works with the Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

It looks like with this release, Cook Timer is Windows XP and greater only. I've updated the supported operating systems to reflect this.
