jdkPortable 8 Update 144 has been released by PortableApps.com. jdkPortable allows you to carry a full-featured Java® Development Kit (JDK) on your PortableApps.com-enabled device all without any Java runtime on the local PC. This release is intended for developers working on JDK-dependent portable apps for testing. This release fixes extraction of pack files and adds a 64-bit package. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format for easy use from any portable device and integration with the PortableApps.com Platform. It's freeware for business and personal use.

Features

jdkPortable allows you to easily add a JDK environment to your portable device. It automatically works with apps in PortableApps.com Format that utilize the JDK. No Java® runtime environment needs to be installed on the local machine and no admin rights are required. JARs can be run using our jPortable Launcher.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

jdkPortable is packaged as a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

jdkPortable is available for immediate download from the jdkPortable homepage. Get it today!

Please note that this common files plugin is not yet in the updater/app store pending an update to the PortableApps.com Platform.

Thanks for the heads up. It's been rebuilt and replaced. The new MD5 is 527072142495677fae6501bf076f2feb. I normally don't condone rebuilds without upping the version number. But since nothing uses this yet, it's not in the app store/updater, and it the original build won't actually install, it doesn't really matter for this particular package.
