been using calibre for some years, just copying portable version into portable app directory and manually updating. was really great to se it as an offiial Portable apps, application, however sad to see updated seem to be well behind the calibe web site. any cahance this delay will be shortened? otherwise probable need to go back to manual updating

It's a busy week with some behind the scenes activities. Taking 5 days for an update is unusual. In calibre's case, it will not impact your usage at all though. You can report outdated apps and follow along on what's being updated over here: https://portableapps.com/development/outdated
