logoA new version of jPortable Launcher (formerly Java Portable Launcher) has been released. jPortable Launcher allows you to easily run Java JARs from your device with one of our portable Java Runtime Environments installed. While it doesn't portablize their settings directly, it does work with any self-contained JAR that stores settings alongside itself or allows its settings to be saved to a portable location. This release now handles both 32-bit and 64-bit in the same launcher, handles cleanup of Java timestamps locally, and has optional configuration options for specific jar files. It's packaged as a portable app, so you can take your browsing experience with you and it's in Format so it can easily integrate with the Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the Platform.

ScreenshotjPortable Launcher allows you to easily run Java JARs using the Java Virtual Machine installed on your device using jPortable. It can also use the JRE within OpenJDK or jdkPortable. It can be installed into the Menu where, when it is run, it will prompt you to select a JAR file to run. It can also be run directly by dragging and dropping a JAR file onto the JavaPortableLauncher.exe file. The launcher will automatically use the appropriate version of Java on both 32-bit and 64-bit machines and can be configured to utilize a specific one if desired. Installer / Format

jPortable Launcher is packaged in a Installer so it will automatically detect an existing installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in Format, so it automatically works with the Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

jPortable Launcher is available for immediate download from the jPortable Launcher homepage. Get it today!

The jPortable Launcher 64-bit has been discontinued. You can uninstall it. If you have any apps that it portablized data for, you can copy the contents off the Data directory to this one.

Ну да, вручную. XXI век на дворе. Компьютеры до сих пор не изобрели. Программистов нет, одни апламеры (applamers).

For stuff like this, I usually give a day for folks to upgrade manually if they want and then push out an automated update for folks that are unfamiliar. That's what happened here. The update is now being pushed out that will automatically convert people. Plugins like OpenJDKJRE, I just pushed it out so folks would get the security updates, which doesn't apply here.
