hey i want to have a server on my computer
I was learning php and used easyphp
then when i learned asp so is there a server that i can download
preferably free...

What OS are you running? If it doesn't support IIS you need to buy the apache addon from microsoft.
XP Pro or Vista will have it.

No. If you are willing to work with ASP.NET (much better IMO) however you can get Visual Web Developer Express.

You still need an IIS webserver to run asp.net webpages. It comes with Windows Pro.

If i recall correctly Cassini was built from the Microsoft community that developed the engine used to test ASP pages in Visual Studio.
I've tried it a couple of time and it works pretty good.

You could try Uniform Server. It is a portable web server that you can run from a windows computer.

Uniform Server is just like XAMPP...Apache, PHP, etc. and Apache doesn't do Active Server Pages unless you buy a pricey program from Sun or your ASP code is done in PERL then you could try Apache::Asp
