Hello I been using a PSPad text editor for all my development, and is the best text editor I found over the internet, i've tired to put in to my flash, and make portable app, it works, and I recommend to put in the suite of portable apps. How many entries did you find when you searched the forum for other folks requesting this software?
I seem to recall that Notepad++ was chosen for some reason, and since it is so similar to PsPad they've been working on other priorities. If you read some of the dozens of threads you'll see more information.
