According to John Clizbe of the Enigmail team: gpg2 on win32 is still pretty much alpha-ware. While parts of it may work, I'd stick with 1.4.7+.
At www.gnupg.org there is meanwhile the stable version GnuPG 1.4.9 compiled for Microsoft Windows. Will someone update the version for Thunderbird Portable?
