Searching for a portable bookmark manager, I found this:
http://bkm.sourceforge.net/
It's open-source and seems really good. It has a link checker, duplicates entry checker, the possibility to sync/upload/donwload from FTP, export/import to and from most used formats (it works really well: I imported 1000+ bookmarks from Seamonkey perfectly), and organize bookmarks in a tree/folder format. It's programmed in Visual Basic.
PortableApps is amazing, thank you, I'm using FF portable righ now!

...Hello, all:
I'd like to suggest "Columbine Bookmark Merge" (v. 3.3 is the most recent I could find). This is an older proggy - non open-source (but free) - which was released and named in '98, before the infamous school shooting in '99. It can merge/save different bookmark files between Opera, Netscape, and IE formats, as well as help you to organize your bookmarks in various ways...
I don't use these types of proggies very often, but have found this proggy to be both excellent and portable (but not necessarily 'stealthy'). Try it and see what you think. You can get it here:

(or else Google it and go with whatever current link you find, as some of these links are no longer valid)
As always, YMMV ("your mileage may vary")
