Inbox dissapears

I've been having that problem for weeks. I've lost my Inbox emails 4 or 5 times already. It just shows me all of a sudden an empty Inbox..... and all my e-mails dissapear

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Diego

never to return ...

so all the emails or new ones are gone? Or does it turn back to normal after some time?
Do you have other folders on the server that also lose their emails?

Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.

Are the files still there?

They are in ThunderbirdPortable/Data/profile/Mail/youraccountname/
if they are delete the inbox.msf and reopen...
Hope you have a daily backup...:)

Only Inbox had that

Only Inbox had that problem.

Files were there but the previous Inbox was about 50 MB or so and now it is 3 KB. Nothing happends if I erase de msf file because it seems like if the original final dissapeared and it was replaced by a new file called Inbox.

It's really weird. I think it must have been the Symantec Antivirus that blocks me the complete file or sends it to Quarantine because from time to time I get messages from the antivirus but I cannot close that protection or uninstall it because it has password protection for everything.

ok

if the original file is gone the you might be out of luck...
Maybe it is indeed a virus program that interfeeres.

IMAP?

Maybe it is time to switch to IMAP. At least then if your local install of Thunderbird gets messed up, the mail is still available on the server.

It is odd though, for it to keep losing or emptying your inbox.

Is this only on your home computer, or on public computers, or both?
