It's a Beta

It's a beta. Crashes will happen. Incidentally, what OS are you running on? What directory? Default profile or custom?

absolutely a beta will crash

absolutely a beta will crash sometimes but i have tried the FF 3.0b1 ( not portable one )before and i haven't got any problems with it. that's why i thought something about portable one..

im using win xp sp2. i installed it to my old FFP directory. In to FirefoxPortable directory ( as it comes by default ). then try to run it.. that's all i did..

Another point: i wander that will it use the old firefoxportable data and settings if i install in it and overwrite ? Or it will create a fully clean profile and settings etc..

Works fine here

It works just fine here on my XP production and test machines and on my Win 2K test machine. I haven't had a chance to fire up Vista yet.

As I asked before... what directory did you install to? And you weren't upgrading a Firefox Portable 2.x install were you?

No upgrades yet

Yeah, I haven't written the upgrade code from 2.x yet. Just assumed people would install it side by side.

Works ok but

it left a folder called "Crash Reports" in my Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\ with 2 files in it: "UserID" and "InstallTime2007110904".

Anyone can confirm this????

I have the same issue

It will not let me into the program before it crashes. I had to delete it because it would crash after 14 seconds of either starting the program or restarting the program.

==A few days later after downloading Revision 2===

Alright! Issue resolved! (n.n)~b

Great job Firefox Portable crew!
