WinMerge Portable (no, it's not a release): New Stuff.

(Note @ John: Would have emailed this to you, but my SMTP server does appear to be working)
OK, now I (sorta) have my development stuff back up and running, I need to update WinMerge Portable. Couple of questions for John:

  1. Can I get the cool new splash screen, please?
  2. What are we doing WRT installers? Will I need to write you the code to select the language?
  3. Once I get a PR out, can we package it up for official release?

Thanks,
Ryan.

Answers

1. Yes
2. Yes, you need to write language-handling code for the installer and the launcher (see Toucan for an example). I can explain more if needed.
3. Yes

Response

(I <3 obvious titles)

  1. OK, I'll be waiting for it Blum (Side note: TBP is now set up on my computer, so I can read and respond to emails at my cubegames.net address)
  2. Will do.
  3. YAY!

(Ah, semantic code. I <3 <ol>s Smile )

Edit: WRT the installer languages, should I add the needed ones from the localisations page?

Edit 2: Seems the language is stored in a registry key. Should I do a ${ConfigWrite} on the DefaultData\WinMerge.reg?

Edit 3: Also, is there an easy way to convert a number to a DWORD (hex)?

On That Note

Could I possibly be given privileges to edit pages for my apps, and perhaps modding, too.

I don't need splash screens at the moment, thought they'd be appreciated, but I'd much rather at least get privileges to edit my pages, and be added to the SF project.

I have been part of the 'team' now for about 4 months and just gotten the one splash for TW.

So just when you get a chance, please.
