Thunderbird version 1.5 U3 edition

I need some help in knowing how to back up my emails and my address book from Thunderbird 1.5 running on a U3 USB drive

When I have back up the emails and address book I then want to restore them on to a new version of Thunderbird 2 which I intend to load on to my laptop's hard drive

Thanks for the help

Wrong Place

You're in the wrong place. These Questions are for the U3 forums. Personally, I don't use Thunderbird on account that I like all my mail synchronized. I suppose there should be a help index in ThunderBird

Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.

Not Really

He won't really get what he needs there.
This is not REALLY a U3 question, it's a ThunderBird question.
He is using a Portable Apps supported version of Thunderbird
[1.5 for U3 was John's work Smile ]
and wants to migrate to a newer Portable Apps supported version of Thunderbird [2.0.0.x]

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

U3 forum is

U3 forum is at:
https://portableapps.com/forums/support/u3apps

It might be as easy as copying over your profile from the U3 Thunderbird to the new Thunderbird, but since there have been changes from 1.5 to 2.0.0.x I'll let John handle this U3 question Blum
