Open URL links in Firefox

I use PortableApps mostly at work and am grateful for the convenience of accessing my email through Thunderbird Portable. My one query, and I couldn't get the right answer searching through here, was if it's possible to make URL links within emails open in Firefox Portable instead of my PC's default browser.

Since it is a work PC, the default browser is IE and I can't change that.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and keep up the fantastic work!

Suprising

That search returned no results, because this is asked A LOT.

Anywho, you could try the Launchy extension.

Thanks will do... I did see

Thanks will do... I did see it asked a lot in the Linux forums, but those solutions didn't apply to a Windows situation... I will try Launchy (figured an extension was the way to go...)

And it was the way to go...

And it was the way to go... thanks... I made a "launchy.xml" file that I'd be happy to share with anybody who may need it for a standard portable apps usb drive... I happen to mostly use my stick as the "I" drive (I keep it like that for my work computer and my laptop), so change the drive letter as appropriate... this xml file is to go in your t-bird data/profile/chrome folder (make one if you don't have one):

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"??>Firefox
1I:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\firefox.exe

You Can

Also see if.

..\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\firefox.exe

Works so you don't need to worry about changing drive letters.
