Portable Video Editor

I know of virtualdub but it's too complicated for me and it can't burn dvd's (if it can I have no clue how).
I went onto Sourceforge and found Vivia ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/vivia/ )
and Avstodvd ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/avstodvd/ )
Neither of them depend on virtual machines.
I have searched the web, as well as this site and portablefreeware.com for an easier version of virtualdub.

Also w/ VirtualDub...

...It doesn't like working with MPG/VOB files.

I haven't found it to be too 'complicated', personally, but it seems to be limited to certain formats, which doth sucketh...

I even tried the version that supposedly does work w/ them, and - if memory serves (it's been a month or two) - I can't "save as" an MPG or a VOB.
Or, was it that it refused to "import" same?... Or perhaps both?... I'm kinda foggy on that.

Either way, I need an app that will import and (ideally) save as these two formats.

Then again, maybe I'm missing something - anyone have any input for me on this?...

Any help appreciated. Thx.

VirtualDubMod can work with VOB files, but it can still only save as AVI.

I would appreciate it very

I would appreciate it very much if you were to compile a portable version of Avidemux. Yea, I know it isn't the easiest to use but how many options do we have for Open Source Freeware apps that do that function

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with Windows.

Is there any difference

Is there any difference between that portable version and the full version? Like, did they take anything out

Never Mind... Again...

Avidemux is just as hard as virtualdub. I'm guessing that now I want something with a windows movie maker interface.

There's a development test

There's a development test of MediaCoder Portable over here.

Also, the OP is asking for an editor, not a converter.

PS. MediaCoder is a great app
