c-ya!

I never liked that browser back in the day anyways. Good riddance! Join Microsoft Bob in digital Hell. Biggrin

Netscape Communicator was a complete piece of junk. they should have never made it into a suite.

Yes but..

..if Netscape did not enjoy the success that it did then FF would not be where it is today.

We owe Netscape a debt of gratitude.

buh bye

If Netscape didn't start to flounder/fail in the "browser wars", Mozilla wouldn't be open source. Therefore, I thank them for their failure...which benefited us in the long run with FF.

Well...

It wasn't their necessarily their failure that spawned Firefox it was a project that attained better attention that that of the head project, remember Mozilla is a branch of Netscape

It called Firefox Netscape's

It called Firefox Netscape's cousin, but it's more like a grandchild.

Hmmm...

It makes me want to try Netscape. Anybody thinking about a Netscape Portable?

Why would anyone want to

Why would anyone want to create a portable version of dead software that sucks when it's stronger, faster, better "cousin" is already portable?

Why do people still play NES

Why do people still play NES when there's XBox 360? Smile

Yeah.

I found the switch-engine too unstable. Crashes every three minutes.

You could always use the netscape theme for firefox

Another option is you could always try the Netstripe theme. The Netscape team made this theme last year so that people could have the Netscape interface in Firefox.

I tried the Netscape skin....

I didn't know that Netscape crashed so much. I like to try new and different things. OK so Netscape is old but it's new to me and, we have "Mac on a Stick" a vintage portable can't be too far fetched.

PS: I play NES, SNES, and N64!

self.path = path if self.path == None else self.path
