I downloaded PortableApps suite and installed in my USB stick. All worked well. I then decided to download the latest version 0.91.2.0 of ClamWin Antivirus from Sourceforge.com. I downloaded it to my desktop. Then I rightclicked and “Sent to” my USB stick, G:\PortableApps\ClamWinPortable folder. I then navigated to that folder and deleted my old “ClamWinPortable.exe” file, leaving the “App”, “Data”, and “Other” folders and a “help.html” file. I opened the new downloaded ClamWin setup file and it immediately produced a new folder entitled “ClamWin”. I’m now at a standstill. How do I establish a path to that new “ClamWin” folder, which contains the execution file and many other associated files, from my PortableApps menu that has a button entitled “ClamWinPortable”? Is there an easy way to salvage this mess? I still have the setup file.
You made it far more complicated than it was. Just download the installer (to your desktop is fine) and run it. It'll detect an existing instance of the PortableApps.com Suite and upgrade ClamWin for you. You don't need to manually mess with files or use Send To (which just copies a file to a drive).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I just reinstalled it. Now there is no ClamWinPortable apps button in the menu. It did not detect anything as you said it would. I now have Clam win in my c drive in the program files. I don't want it there. I thought it was supposed to go in my PoortableApps in my USB stick. ????
He meant reinstall ClamWin Portable, available on the left hand sidebar, not the regular ClamWin.

I clicked ClamWin Portable in the left hand column as you told me and it took me to this page https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/clamwin_portable and I clicked on the download button. That took me here
http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=portableapps&fi...
I then downloaded Clamwin Portable
I clicked the “Options” button, then “Add a new App” button, then “Install”. I then get a window entitled “NSIS Error” saying that the installer is corrupted or incomplete. Could be for a damaged disk or Virus. Contact author of installer for a new copy. Possible to skip this check using /NCRC command line switch (NOT Recommended).
I decided to uninstall the ClamWin folder in the PortableApps folder. I tried again and got the same error message.
Sounds like a corrupt download to me. Try redownloading it and running again. If that doesn't work, check the MD5 hash with the one on the download page.

The Hash did not check out. A bad download is correct. That sourceforge site is a magnet for viruses, and other garbage. I remember now that I once had a similar problem with that site. Kind of like Warez. Dangerous. Are there any other mirror sites to download Portable Apps? Thanks
SourceForge is the only place. Everything there is open source, so you can make it yourself from the source if you wish. Try downloading again from a different mirror.

I went in circles punching buttons until I finally got to a mirror that functioned and got it downloaded and working. Thanks alot.
could just be from the internet access getting a hiccup for a micro second, not so much that it was a virus-laden file. Glad you were able to get it to work though.
Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.
