Blackberry or Windows mobile 6 based?

I'm looking for a smartphone but not sure which operating system I want to use. Will portable apps work with either or both? With the full suite of protable apps that is all I will need.

Well, there is a way...

You load LogMeIn onto your PC, plug in your drive, and access your PC remotely with your smartphone (It works from the browser). But then you wouldn't need them to be portable.

He is referring to "LogMeIn",
It is a program that you can purchase and put on your pc to allow remote access.

Wherever

You can put in on your desktop, on a USB drive or pretty much anywhere.

that is Win 98 through vista, 95 can handle the apps but there are no usb drivers for it so you are basically srewed with that.

but the apps run from anywhere

so you don't actually need a USB drive for them - many people here use them in preference to the standard installers, since it makes for a consistent experience when it comes to migrating from one PC to another.

So, Win95 and up is fine for that.
