Corruption in PortableApps Launcher

First off - I've seen the future and it's called "PortableApps!"

I've run this now on three PCs all from my 80GB USB drive. It's truly wonderful to be able to send and receive all my email from my own domain wherever I happen to be and to be able to go back through years of emails. Thunderbird is GO!

One of my PCs is a Dell Inspiron 9400 with a wide screen resolution of 1920 X 1200. I'm shoving that through a 24" LCD at the same resolution. On that PC the launcher popup corrupts such that the full area of the popup is bordered but the bottom and right inch or so (say 40% of the popup area) is black. The rollovers seem to work but you can't read the black text on a black background.

Is this a known bug?

If it is not a known bug is there somewhere I can send a screen grab (tonight because I'm at work right now)?

Cheers,

MartynB

...download the latest beta from here (v1.1): https://portableapps.com/suite
O and also PLEASE SEARCH. This has been mentioned MANY times before. Not trying to be rude. Just saying.
Thanks,

Think

PLEASE SEARCH. This has been mentioned MANY times before.

Think of the time, energy, and wear and tear on the keyboard that everyone could save by not repeating this phrase ad nauseum to new members.

If it's that important for you to say, put it in your sig then everyone will see it in all your postings. It won't change anything but you will be able to take comfort knowing you got the word out that you're smarter than new posters. That is the point you're trying to make isn't it?

Please Stop

Ed_P, this is the second time in two days you have gotten on someone after the politely pointed out to use the search function next time. Both the posters also provided and answer the question the original poster had, and asked them to politely search next time to save both us and then time, and headache.

Please don't let this happen again, there's no harm in mentioning the search feature as in benefits us and the poster.

Thank you.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

I will put it in my sig and also I am pretty sure this is the first time I have pointed out to anyone to use the search.
Thanks,

Thanks BJ

I've downloaded the BETA and I'll try it on my Dell this evening.

You are right about searching of course but not being certain about for what to search it was more comfortable for me simply to ask.

As a (sorry to say) Microsofty I'm used to BETAs being avoided so I didn't want to proceed without the recommendation of someone far more experienced than I.

I'm certain that the newness will wear off soon

I will come back to post my findings of the new version on the Dell.

Kind regards,

Martyn

Checked and working

I've checked out the BETA on my Dell running at 1920 x 1200 and 120dpi and can report that everything appears to be running correctly. The Launcher menu appears as it should and nothing untoward was observed.

Kind regards and thanks for your help,

Martyn
