Hi there,
I did do a search on the forum and found some discussion there. Most discussions are suggesting using Firefox extensions but I do have some special situation which I think that may apply to many ppl as well. Actually I'd like to add comment to an existing post https://portableapps.com/node/1332 but I cannot find the link to add.
I am using FF at home but my company's standard is IE
And I do not have admin right to add my appl. Even worse, I do not have the right to check the proxy setting so portable FF does not work either.
Even at home I prefer to run FF from desktop simply because it is faster and I do not need to plug in my USB all the time.
Therefore a portable bookmanager will be a better solution for me to organize my bm.
There are some discussions about portable-bookmark software. Just give it a try. Still not sure if it is only a free trial or a downscaled version for personal use. But it is not portable at all. It needs installation. I did it at home on USB but when I try to use it in office, it complains again I need admin right to install. Not good for portable use. The main reason I like portableapps because it allows me to run some software on machine I do not have right to install.
Any suggestions?
Regards
anything about proxys, but maybe the ProxyGet utility may help you.

Thanks for your suggestion. But the environment in the office is highly protected. We don't even have the access to see the proxy setting on IE/Tools/Internet Options window. I know where to set proxy info on FF, but have no info about what to set. Without proxy, protable FF cannot go to the net. I am not an expert on network stuff and do not want to take any risk to my job to try to dig something out on a highly monitored network.
I understand. I wouldn't risk it either.
