Well, I´ve been use portable firefox from 1.5 version.
2.0 version come with troubles.
1. I've to install the firefox browser in the PC. before, copy folder was enough to 100% run the program.
2. when I copy then paste the firefox folder to my USB drive, i can't use the firefox on another pc. first I must to install firefox in te foreing pc, then i've to copy my folder to the firefox installation folder to use MY PORTABLE VERSION with my skins, bookmarks, history, etc
Q: Doesn't any way to only copy paste to correctly run firefox?..

IF so, just download FFP 1.5 and unpack to Your desktop , copy over the contents of Your standard profil, download FFP 2.0.0.0 and install over Your 1.5,that should work.Uncheck "set as default" in the preferences.Then upgrade to 2.00.6 and after that to 2.00.11. It should work. Former versions are available on http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=151265 Maybe someone can translate that to spanish?

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report
you are making it much too complicated.
What is your Firefox 1.5 folder structure?
You should have 3 folder: App, Data and Others.

To avoid a broken file just download and unpack a new 1.5 from here http://downloads.sourceforge.net/portablefirefox/Firefox_Portable_1.5.0....
to Your desktop, don´t start it.
open ffp/data/profile (it should be empty except a .txt file)
fill in all Your files from the local profile or your FFP1.5 profile
next step: a direct upgrade to 2.00.11 can cause problems, so
download a FFP 2.0.0.1, install it just over the new 1.5, start it ,
if it´s ok, then upgrade to the recent FFP.
There are some reports that - mozilla having dropped the support for 1.5- a direct upgrade to the utmost recent version can cause difficulties.
So this isn´t complicated, You just have to make smaller steps.
Else, if the folder structure of Your FFP isn´t the same as in 2.0, that could be the cause for Your problems.

Parece que el problema es que no usas la version portable. ?Encontraste problemas con el 2.x *regular* o *portable*? No se puede simplemente copiar una carpeta (archivo?) y usarlo.
Recomiendo que instales la version 2.0.0.11 *portable* de este sitio en tu USB drive. Uselo una vez, despues puedes copiar algunos de los archivos de la carpeta

La manera mas facil es usar el add-on "Google Browser Sync" o Foxmarks cuales pueden sincronizar bookmarks mas historia y otras cosas automaticamente. No se de sincronizar los addons - probablement sera mas sencillo installarlos en los dos lugares. Es que hay unas diferencias significantes entre las versionas normal y portable. Recuerde que no cuesta tanto usarlo como se recomienda ...

Una vez instalado el Portable Firefox que te descargas de esta web (instalado en tu Pen Drive, por supuesto), vas a tener una carpeta llamada Firefox Portable en tu Pen Drive y dentro dos carpetas más, una se llama App y la otra Data, todo lo vas a hacer en la carpeta Data... buscate la carpeta firefox dentro de tu sesión en documents and settings y reemplaza el contenido de lo que está en la carpeta Data con lo que tienes en tu sesion en del Firefox instalado en la PC, lo reemplazas carpeta por carpeta...
De esta manera, no es que puedas sincronizar el contenido de uno y del otro, pero al menos copias el contenido del uno en el otro...
Hay una cosa que se llama "profile sync" y es portable, es específicamente para sincronizar los profiles del Firefox y el Thunderbird... buscalo en este foro que de aquí fue que los aqué.
Lamentablemente todavía no tenemos el Firefox Portable en Español, aunque se podría hacer el intento...
