I sometimes find I am in a place that has only Macintosh computers available for my use. Is there a way of creating a USB drive setup that has Mac portable versions of the programs I need and that keeps my files on that USB drive? Do such portable Mac versions even exist?
I can see me having both PC versions and Mac versions on the same USB flash drive. Thanks
There are some. They aren't official PortableApps.com applications, but they do exist.

I suppose with a bit of thought the Java apps from PortableApps.com could also work on a Mac. Just need to figure out how to get the settings to be stored on the USB drive.
If someone buys me a nice Mac, I'd be willing to work on it and see what I can do.
