Is there any chance of a portable version of Madotate? I'm not sure what the license is, but it would be great to have a version that does not leave traces in the registry.
Thanks,

Because I found that on the site of the new developpers:

I went also to the original site of the creator of Madotate and I found that:

Hello
Just delete the folder where you unziped the files; the program doesn't write any information in your registry or other folders.
If you added the program to startup, you must delete it from there too.

The exe runs from a flash drive just fine, BUT...

Per the "no registry quote", take a look at:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SHINOHARATakayuki]

Help control the rugrat population -- have yourself spayed or neutered!
Good thing I put the question mark in my subject...

I found this software a long time ago and made it portable and never put it anywhere, then i lost all of my files for along time, then while borrowing Master Imrahil's flashdrive I discovered he had a copy of my source files... {! !oh yeah! !}.
I have just made an installer (self extracting 7-zip sfx), and uploaded it to MediaFire
Now i feel bad about keeping this to myself (and Master Imrahil) for so long.
sorry
[EDIT] Also I fixed some mistranslations in mtatecfg.exe and added  keyboard shortcuts

I just installed it, and it seems to work pretty well so far. The real test will come on Monday, when I take it to my work machine.

kay, so that wasn't very constructive...
Good work, J.O.K.E.R.! I haven't found anything wrong just yet, but well see.
I'll tell you later if I do.
EDIT: Crap. On Vista it has issues. It seems to leave the highest level keys intact:
Our previous launchers seem to have the same glitch... Will work on it...
SUB-EDIT: I believe I have a solution! J.O.K.E.R., I need you to test this on a XP machine w/ Madotate installed. Here is the link.

Your's did not work, it totally went haywire.
Your's tried to copy the entire "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software" key (as did mine when i made my first attempt at fixing this bug) and kind of weirded out my computer.
i have fixed this (and a couple of other insignificant bugs i found while trying to fix this) and have uploaded the new one to MediaFire also.

That's odd. I cannot see any differences between your's and mine. Everything is normal over here. It's a good thing I had you test that...
I'll do some more informal testing later. I still can't understand what went wrong. What did you change exactly?

Its been a while but i think it was something about the slashes, it was pretty crazy (ya know it could have been a problem with my computer, it does have a few).

I've been a bit busy, too. I'll go check real quick and post again...
EDIT: I cannot reproduce the problem. I think your compy needs bedrest.
