Belvedere

I'm not sure if any of you use this program called Belvedere. It's made by the folks at Lifehacer. It's GPL'ed and apparently portable (for now):

Description: (taken from their site)

What it does: Sets up rules for taking actions on files based on the name of a file, it's extension, size, age, and more.
Installation:...just download Belvedere.exe from the download link above, drag it to a folder of your liking... and double-click to start.
How It Works: Setting up rules with Belvedere is as simple as adding folders, then creating to run on each folder using Belvedere's simple point-and-click interface. Just name your rule with the Description field and build your conditions with the drop-down menus.

I've personally never used it, but I'm sure there are a few people that could put it to good use.

Looks like a cool app. They

Looks like a cool app.

They just posted this message on Lifehacker:

Belvedere gets another quick update to version 0.2.1, fixing a small but show-stopping bug. If you downloaded 0.2 this morning, head on back and pick up 0.2.1 from the download page.

Please edit your post, you have that ability, to include a description of the app. Folks should not have to click on the link to find out if it's something they are interested in.

Thanks,
Tim

I still

don't understand what it does... setting rules to a folder? why I want to do that?

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin

They give examples:

They give examples: automatically delete files older than one month (in some folder).

It might be handy to have a folder you could drag things to and have them be zipped up and deleted.

At least that's what it sounds like.

Small sidebar...

This app is coded by the same guy that created Texter (the program I recently portabalized) and it's also done in the AutoIt scripting language.
