having Palm's VersaMail use a copy of my Thunderbird Portable profile

I use Thunderbird Portable when travelling, and it occurs to me that it would be quite convenient for me to put the chip with my profile into my palm Tungsten E and let VersaMail access my email. I see no import or export features that will let me do this.

Is it possible? (It would be a darn sight easier than copying each Email into a Word document, saving it onto the chip, and then reading the chip in my palm from DocsToGo).

In a word... No

VersaMail can only read emails from it's own proprietary formatted pdb files.

You might be able to set up the versamail hotsync conduit to talk to TBP and sync the email into it that way, or, if you use IMAP, you can point the versamail account at the same place as the TBP account, but I'm afraid that there isn't any way to get Versamail just to read it out of the TBP profile.
