It would be cool, if someone could make that one portable, because is think there is a lack of portable PIMs. Thunderbird + Lighting is kind a poor, and Spicebird not ready, yet.
I'd say wait for Spicebird. I'm sure Spicebird will come along, but I believe Chandler is still in earlier development too. Chandler's huge, as apposed to Spicebird which is much lighter.
Yeah, you're right. Spicebird looks more promising. It just have so many bugs, yet... But Chandler has not a real email-client and its large (as you mentioned), so it wouldn't make sense to make it portable.
Perhaps we must be patient. There is no other useful & free Email/Calendar-App out there, right? I mean thunderbird & lightning is nothing, evolution goes bad with windows and isn't up to date,... pfff. I don't want to use outlook, but there is no alternative. I really hope, spicebird can fill the gap, but this will take about 1 year or so. How disappointing.
