Having trouble with PA restore utility

Hi all,

First let me say - love portable apps - big time.

TB lost all my settings and emails yesterday, although lightning was intact. Got lost in the profile process - moved on to format/restore. Running PA Restore, no files get copied - weird. I've seldom had success with the PA restore program.

** Just got it restored to 2-3-08 sweet. Only way I got it to work was to extract files from backup and copy to thumb drive. **

Just wondering what the placement of files need to be to run PA restore assuming backup file is on "C" and thumb drive is empty. I rarely get in this position, but it makes me freak while I'm here.

My searches for info on restore process have been fruitless. If I missed it - I apologize for a needless post.
