Check flash drive's healthiness

Hello,

which is the best way for me to know if my flash drive is still in good shape?

I've formatted my 4GB as NTFS and I've been happily using it for the last 6 months (thanks John for making me discover the portable world!)

I've no sign of my drive getting worse, but I would like to prevent it to lose data and move to a new one before it becomes unreliable.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well

Shock from my experience and from what I've seen, most people lose they're usb before it breaks. Even if they're really organized. But I searched around and couldn't find any program that does this, but I did find out flash drives last about 2-3 years and on, depending on how you use it. Also apparently making the usb as a NTFS makes it wear out a bit faster o_o, but yeah you don't have to worry about your usb dieing out before about a year and a half. That's my conclusion from what I've seen xD, I'm sure most people can spare 30 dollars to buy a new one after 2 years passes by.
Any ways ^_^ if someone does find a way to check how well your usb is doing that'd be great.
Edit:
Sorry for not being able to provide one Shock
