Add a edition with all the apps included.

I would like to be able to download a package that had all the apps installed already, large flash drives are becoming more the norm ($30 for an 8gb drive) and I'd like to have the complete collection of apps with me, for those times when you need an app that you might not usually use.

There was one

and I think there may be one when the new Platform will be released. But for now its just too much work to re-upload a big package with every App that gets updated.

At first I though the same,

At first I though the same, why not have a complete collection. But then I thought about it. Looking at the previous suite it is clear that for each new release the App Suite will not be rebuild due to the amount of time to create the installer and upload it.

I change my view and am now in favor of a small selector/download/installer which lists all the latest releases and where you can select which apps to install. Then it should download all the required files and install it in one go on the USB Drive (if space permits). This could be in combination of an updater for new released versions.

Maybe a sourceforge HTML or RSS feed could be used to dynamically extract the version information of new versions so it's almost automated and requires no extra developer interaction.

Bottom line; although one setup for all apps is a nice idea, it might turn out to laborious and time consuming to make one and keep it up-to-date.

I would agree with you on

I would agree with you on those points. a small downloader/installer app that lets you select what you want installed would work as well, I would just like an easier way to install the apps then by manualy doing them one by one.

Marko

has a updater/installer that does exactly that.
He hasn't released it to the public because he wants to wait till after John gets the paf specs done.
