downloading problems with PortableApp

I'm having a heck of a time downloading PortableApps and have tried finding the answer on the board to no avail. Am using Firefox 2.0 and want to install PortableApps to my Sans Disck Cruser 2 GB flashdrive. I have the U3 Launchpad installed on the flashdrive.

When I try to install the program on my desktop directory or my flashdrive I get an error message saying the PortableApps ex is "not a supported archive". I'm unable to install download on either my desktop G drive where I keep my downloads or to the flashdrive.

Would appreciate getting me pointed in the right direction with this since this application sounds great!

I

guess you are doing a right click and then Save As. This won't work, you need to left click the links as they are redirectors.

Sounds like a corrupted download.

Are you left-clicking on the download button like it says to, which will take you to the sourceforge download page and then go through with the download, or are you right-clicking and choosing save link as, which will save the html code of the sourceforge page, instead of the actual application?

Either way, the error message suggests a corrupt download, so I'd suggest that you try deleting that one, and re-downloading.

Hope that helps

Edit: darnit... I need to type faster Wink

You were right!

A corrupted download. Worked fine this time. Shoulda figured that out myself but didn't. That's why we have these forums.
