Hi

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for, if you could post a link with some information about what you are after I would have a better idea.

It is a way of getting consistent snapshots

The Volume Shadow Service is a way for the system to get a point-in-time snapshot of files on a system, and save them as they were right then, ignoring any changes that take place during the backup process.

More importantly, in order to take the snapshot, the service signals database providers such as MS-SQL Server or Exchange Server to checkpoint a consistent save-point to disk, which is then made a part of the snapshot.

It only really affects backups of running systems with open files, particularly database systems, so I'm not quite sure why the OP would want support for making backups of his flash drive.
