config ini

I like to request PortableApps start putting the configuration ini into the correct path. I think this putting an configuration ini somewhere where it not belongs is not very useful anyway.

Yeah, I could move them manually, but I usually assume I dont have to move any files to configure software. And I assume there is no need for users to bother with the ini file at all in most cases.

And there is no need

I have almost two years using PortableApps and never, but never, used any of those ini files... plus, I delete help.html, and AppInfo and Others folder (that ini is in others folder).

You need that file for extra stuff, not to make the App work

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin

Not Used Unless Moved

I believe the conf ini files are not used, that is why they are not in "the correct path". If you move them to "correct path" they will then be used, even if they are Not Needed.

I'm not sure of the repercussions of this. They are not intended to be used by the average user. I think it is presumed that an advanced users would have no problem moving and editing it, IF, they need to use it.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

Yeah, I just say if you not

Yeah, I just say if you not use it anyway, just put it where it supposed to be on the correct place so when an advanced user needs to use it they dont have to bother with useless moving of ini files. Novice users and users hho dont need to use it are not gonna bother with it anyway unless they are curious what's inside.
