I've started closely monitoring memory usage on my system recently using Process Explorer and today I noticed that KeePassPortable1.10 was using ~35M of memory. After restarting it a couple of times, it's clear that's the standard. That seemed exorbitant since the KPP directory is only 1.3M on my disk.
So I went over to the KP site and downloaded their Portable version of KP1.10. Low & behold, this version uses less than 4M running with the same database & ini file.
Any idea why KPP is grabbing up so much memory?
Thanks,
Tobias

I will try to reproduce your study tonight and see what I can figure out by poking it with a stick.

Any thoughts to share on this?
I noted that the recent Firefox Portable 3 beta 4 release "has an updated launcher". But I'm too lazy to go search thru the forums right now to see if there is any connection to be made there.
Thanks,
Toby
I have no idea. But I tried it and it was the other way around.
Their Zip file used 10 Mb and the one from here used 7 (+4 Mb Launcher). So I don't know why you had that problem but I couldn't reproduce it.

Slipped out of my brain. My findings mirror those of Simeon. using the same kdb PAF is about 7MB +4MB launcher. Locally installed and KeePass Zip version is just under 10MB. I would try backing up your kdb, completely deleting your KeePassPortable directory and then reinstalling from a fresh download. See if it still climbs to 35MB.
