Hey,
I noticed that OpenOffice.org 2.4 has had its first release candidate made available. Perhaps a test release could be made similar to Firefox 3 betas have?

John Haller, the guy who runs this ship, only does release candidates and betas of Mozilla software. We'll have to wait for OOo 2.4
And welcome to PortableApps!
If you want to try out OpenOffice 2.4 RC1 - simply install it on your desk top & replace the OpenOffice directory with the 2.4 version on your USB key portable apps version of OpenOffice. It seems to work fine. Just remember not to trust any important data with a release candidate version. I am happily running 2.4 RC1 now off my USB key with no apparent bugs at all. Experiment a little - it's easy. Looks like there is no need to re-run the NSIS scripts, if you just want to play a little. Keep watching this site for an official release later down the track. I am sure that you won't be disappointed. Patience.
