Running Thunderbird Portable version 2.0.0.9 (20071031)
Can't print emails. I go to print, I see the driver start to spool, and then suddenly Thunderbird vanishes. Does this even in safe-mode with all extensions turned off.

Well, I just tested it here, and it seems OK.
First off, can you print from other applications?
And second off, try rebooting and see if it helps.
Thanks for the reply. I can print from all other apps, including FireFox Portable. Rebooting does no good. I've had this problem for over a month now, and have rebooted pretty much daily.
First, does print preview work?
And second, try going into File-->Print, choose a different printer if you can (or just reselect the same one if not) and Hit properties, just to make sure that the options in there are relatively sane.
Failing that, are you able to install a PDF Virtual printer such as http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator and see if you can print to that?
