For some reason when i started up one of my two firefox portable installs everything was screwed up.
All it contains is a standard install with JTH's Firefox-IE drop in profile, adblock plus + IETab and flash plugin, and has worked fine before plenty of times.
Its not really a problem, it was fairly blank and i can easily remake it but i cant figure out what happened, if its suddenly gone unportable and left traces behind or something.
Heres a shot (note this usually looks identical to IE6)

Ive only ever used the launcher which is renamed to iexplore.exe and the ini to remove splashscreen.
It's a corrupt profile. Did you unplug your drive suddenly? Run
on the command line. If it doesn't work. Then backup your settings (many files will fail) and reformat you flash drive. I think that the corrupted file is prefs.js (but some more may be as adblock plus doesn't have any subscriptions). Also, avoid IETab.
What happens is that the prefs.js has a corrupt header or something, so Windows can't find where it starts and ends. When you change your settings, they're saved to RAM, but the Windows can't save them to prefs.js.
EDIT: iexplore.exe? You want to bypass something? Naughty...
Advice: go to App\firefox and rename firefox.exe to iexplore.exe too, then on the ini change:
to
You will have two iexplore.exe on the task manager, but it will be better.
Blue is everything.
