I would like to create a kind of generic installer / downloaded for applications that are maybe to large to be put inside the installer by Downloading the installer or zip file by the installer.
- User starts the installer
- Autodetect and select PortableApps folder
- Deploy the PortableApps template launcher and folder structure
- Download the main application (optionally choice of download locations) to temp
- After download unzip or install deploy the app in the correct portable location
I think this could be a solution for rather big applications. Anyone care to make such an installer together using NSIS?
goto start then run type in iexpress and hit enter
Original suggestion but I meant NSIS.
that
Ryan´s uTorrent paf installer do that, just check the source...
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report
I myself found the command for downloading. I was merely asking for people who would like to create a generic installer together with.
... could do this job too.
All published Apps are offered for install if ther outdatet or not present.
If a package is selected for install, download starts and if the download is completed install (also unzipping) starts.
You could add more packages (like help files, lang support) and so on or use a modified version of the updater for this job.
