[Fixed] PuTTY: No Sessions Are Saved At All (rev 2)

I gladly replaced my old 'putty portable' installation with the new one, on my windows xp sp2 machine. With the new version, no sessions are saved at all. Actually my 'Data' directory always remains completely empty. Has anyone else encountered this?

Yup

I can confirm settings aren't being saved, I think this would be primarily on a clean install.

It looks like PuTTY isn't creating 'Data' or 'Data\settings' as it should. The installer creates 'Data', but not 'Data\settings', and if that isn't there PuTTY Portable doesn't seem to save settings.

Shhhh

We're not supposed to ping a topic if it seems to be taking too long to get a response...

Patrick's confirmed that Putty has a problem.

Can you get by with a fix to get it working? Did you try manually creating the Data\settings directory, to see if that helps?

It's not clear how soon this bug can get fixed and released, but that doesn't mean you have to be stuck with a non-working PuTTY until then.

Fixed in 0.60 Revision 3

Sorry about that. It seems the installer wasn't creating the settings directory on new installs. I've fixed this in revision 3.
