here at work, we have to use iexplorer and in order for the internet to activate we have to put a username and password. When that translates over to FF portable its just says it cant access the internet. Is there a way to have FF portable pick up on my network settings here at work and request for the username and pass to i can access ?

... Tools-Settings-Advanced-Network click Settings and add You proxy.
Restart FFP.
Finaly use the known username and password.

What You need is OSS!
here is how to do it:
go to Tools click on "options", click on the "Advanced" tab, and under it click on the "network" tab. in that tab you will see a "settings" button click on that.
finally click on the radio button that says "auto detect the proxy settings"
in the future please use the search function (top right corner) first as you will probably find the answer faster.
