Ultimate Flash Drive Poll

Let's have a poll!
What would you want in an ultimate flash drive for PortableApps.
I'll start:

 • Hardware Encryption
 • Fast Read/Write
 • Double Partition
 • Online Backups
 • AutoStart switch (if you don't want to start apps sometimes).
 • Built in MP3 Player.
 • OLED Casing (to change the outside look)

Had an idea

Ok, here it goes (have in mind that my request is impossible):

 • Hardware Encryption
 • DDR3 RAM like read write Biggrin
 • Really large life span
 • An extra partition with a read write switch for having an antivirus for checking the memory (ClamWin + WinPooch) that is mounted first, only then the big partition is mounted
 • Automated backup when pluged in on a predefined PC
 • Mac/Linux autorun suppport (there's no autorun for linux Sad )
 • Covers (to change outside look)
 • OpenSource Hardware Biggrin !!!

Blue is everything.

Close Your Lists

You forgot to close your list in this thread, as well as in the GameSuite Portable thread.

Don't forget to close them. Smile

Yup

That's why I always make first the structure and the add the content.
Example:

First I do:

Then I add the content:

Unordered List Item

Blue is everything.

I'd want

All these are good. But how about some kind of password lock like on U3 drives that
would prevent anyone without the password from using your P.A.M? Also, not to download anything, but some kind of notification on the P.A.M. to let you know when an update to an app is available? Kind of like Firefoxes update notifier? But it will direct you to the portableapps site instead of downloading anything?

Nah, too theoretical...

Yep

Too theoretical, but it would be cool. Maybe with quantum physics...

Or

holographic technology. They made a cell with a 100 inch screen that's only 5 inches long, 'cuz it has a laser projector that's perfectly focused no matter what.

...
 1. password protection
 2. a little drive activity thingy that would shift colors
 3. compatability with the soon to come USB 3.0
 4. a cool ass smooth brushed metal case powder coated translucent red with the PAM logo on top and that transfer light right in the middle
 5. a PAM download central to rival that of u3's download central. you would be able to acsess it with one click on the menu and it would take you to a page not unlike u3's download central where you could automatically install all the apps we have
 6. multiple theme options! - C'mon! let's beet u3 to it!
 7. better menu compatability with Wine so linux users could use the PAM to it's full potential!

Zoop

I want a button that will

I want a button that will make my flash drive have a thermonuclear meltdown if misplaced. Then, I'd know where I keep losing my stuff
