i'm sure VLC media player will play those... it seems to play everything which is why it's awesome
here it says that vly doesnt play Real. Its one of the few things it doesnt play and I think there is a reason for this.
I found this interesting because, as I am reading these posts, I am listening to streaming audio in Portable VLC from a site that says it requires Real Player. I didn't want to install Real, so I decided to give VLC a try. I guess the difference is that it is streaming http. (The url starts with "http" and ends with ".ram".) I copied the link location in Firefox and pasted it into the http field in the "Open Network Stream" dialog in VLC.
ok mby i was wrong before about vlc but now i think mplayer can play them according to their supported formats list http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/info.html
I've tried playing the .rmvb file using mplayer, voice was heard but not scences....!?
is a firefox extension for VLC...
the extension for VLC?
install version of VLC and VLC for Linux have that extension... I google it but it's not available in a separated install...
Mplayer will play those formats just need the codec pack from the mplayer site
Thank you!
No prob if need anymore help just ask
Hi, newbie question here. I downloaded mplayerportable from here, and the codec pack from the mplayer website. Do I just unzip it to the folder labeled "codecs" in the portable distribution? Do I have to do anything special with them or arrange them in a particular file structure?
Just empty the codecs into the codecs dir.
