U3 is a USB flash drive

U3 is a USB flash drive together with a small emulated CD image. This makes the menu autoboot work.

U3 is already being phased out and there will be a new solution in the works together with mighty Microsoft. (Surely makinf sure to further 'lock in' users to proprietary software)

I hope there will be an open source hardware variation to these to be used by us all in the future supporting multiple operating systems...
(Hmm, could U3 CD partition not have autoboot info for multiple platforms?)

Anyway, skype has been covered before and one of the mayor problems with it is it's not open source software, making it impossible to make a decent portable version for it and redistribute it. That said, maybe someone has made a portable launcher for it.

Let's hope there will be a true open source variant to skype.

WARNING: Skype adds stuff to html files if you're not careful. It injects some skype ID into forum posts etc. You have to turn that off manually but before you even notice it the damage has been done. Your meta tag is all over the place...

And I cannot see any reason why it should add the tag to html... Sad
