I have tried several times to download and install 7-Zip. Each time I receive a "file corrupt" error. Any ideas? Thanks.

You mean you are still getting an error? Try maybe choosing a different mirror, and delete and previous attempts. If not, try a download manager like DowmThemAll! for Firefox, which fixes problems like that for me.
