we should make a pinball game portable
Welcome to PortableApps.com Nighflash,
Do you have any open source pinball game you would like to suggest? A link to a site perhaps?
[By the way, your bio says:
"i have used apps from portableapps.com for 5 years"
Wow, that's longer than John
Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
well, i thought maybe the default windows pinball exe... i thought it might work, but i have no clue how to do it. i want it for personal use only of course.
it now says "portableapps websites for 5 years". sorry i miss typed!
Tim Clark? are you here? i typed that i miss typed and i have use dportable apps websites for 5 years and that i thought we should use the windows pinball exe
No problem about the date, I thought it was funny.
I don't know if we can make Windows Pinball.
It is copyrighted to Microsoft, very unpopular around here and this site currently deals with open source programs [Free to own, distribute, modify]
See if you can find a good one on the web and point it out to us.
One of the developers in the group can give you more feed back.
Also, remember, this is not IM. It may takes hours, or even days for someone to reply. If someone does not reply right away just be patient.
ok, but i am not allowed to google or go to any other websites than these, so could someone else do it for me?my family travels and i would like to have my favorite pinball game with me. Plz.
I'll take a look for you, but curious... why aren't you allowed to use Google?
my parents believe that the internet is very dangerous, and they dont want my info getting around, and there i spornogrophy in google too. i dont want to see that stuff. i am a Christian homeschooled kid by the way.
I googled and only could find this one http://pinball.sourceforge.net/
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report
Looks unfinished and abandoned...
I don't know if this is open source, at least it claims to be "free forever", but it was rejected by portablefreeware.com because it writes settings to the registry, nothing important if it can be pafed...
I can't find anything else...
I had found that one, I think that might be the one that was only for Linux, too. Another I found needed a missing DLL, and didn't start.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/linball/ this is the link to a open source pinball game for linux and windows. it is called, linball
I saw that one, but they don't have any file releases, only the sources in CVS from 7 years ago.
really? ok then, there just isnt one out there.
say can i be a moderator? if not it's ok. i am on a ot, and would love to help.i know computers well and understand how internet and stuff wortks, i had my own site with a blog on it and i had to be the moderator for it also.My family has been using the PC since 92 when the first public ones in our area came out. please consider asking Joh for me, or what not.thanks,
I think one of the requirements for mods is to be here for at least a few months, to understand the way things work. I am not very good at moderating, too strong of an opinion.
Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.
oh....ok. i will ask again in june or july i guess. i know i can be a good modd now, but i can wait. thanks again. 2 bad about the pinball. :/
i am getting quite a lot of big talk from people that are only week old members. how do you learn so fast????
You, Aciago, Tim Clark, Patrick, LOGAN, and me commented.
You are a few days old, Aciago's a year+6 weeks, Tim Clark's a year+37 weeks, Patrick's a year+2 weeks, LOGAN's 25 weeks, I'm 17 weeks. Anyway, we learn by watching :P.
ok. i understand. dont mean to cause trouble.
i mean i dont want to cause hard feelings or frustration because of my newbie ness.
