i hope this is the right section to post this in, i wanted to ask why the portable apps suite requires you to install the exe instead of just adding an exe to the list. i also would like to know where the confinguration file i hear about is. all i see in options drop down box is install or remove app.

What exe are you talking about?
The PortableApps Installers are used for various reasons but the menu will pick up any exe you put in a folder in the PortableApps folder on your drive.
And the config file was introduced in the latest beta.
