PortableApps app specification

What I want to know is what requirements does my app have to meet to get the PortableApps.com "seal of approval"? Not just app requirements (directory structure, etc.), but installer requirements (command line switches, etc.)? I know there are threads all over the place about this, but it'd be nice to have all the specifications in one place...

We really need formal documentation for this.

Yes

Yes we do... I'm not gonna say it's coming soon, cause I won't believe it till I see it. Smile

And welcome back.

And "soon" = "when it's ready" like everything else I assume right? Wink

The

The PortableAppsInstaller.nsi takes care of almost everything except the spelling of the program name, which you need to provide (plus a few other tidbits). So you don't need to worry about command line switches for the installer.

While you (we) are waiting for a clear statement of the specs, you could look at a few of the more recently released apps here and see what directories and files they have in common.

If you think you have discovered a pattern, you can go to the wiki at

http://cubegames.net/development/

and write up your discovery.
