ff3b4 crashes on launch, upgrade from ff3b3 or clean install

i have tried this on 2 different machines as well, both running vista ultimate. is there anything i can check?

Check updates for Vista

Check for update KB937287 (marked as critical). It did the job for me. You will need to restart your PC. And I think this bug isn't only on Firefox 3 beta 4 Portable but on the regular one too. In my case the process was running, but nothing happened. I will maybe post something at mozillazine.

I can't do much more, don't forget that it is beta, try the nighties (unstable) or the branch (sort of stable).
