I like very much the portable software released on this site (specially GIMP) and now I want create my own portavle apps (software that I use)... but I've a question: what "Installer" (well... I know it's only an extractor) have you used to package your apps for the end users? .... I like very much the "look" of this installer (better than the simpler autoextractor of 7zip, winrar ecc...) and I want use it for my apps

we used an installer language called nsis ( nsis.sf.net ). The manual can be found at http://www.nullsoft.com/free/nsis/makensis.htm . Oh, it's not just an extractor 'cuz it looks for a portableapps.com drive then sets it to install there. That, and it deletes old stuff, can be used to download and extract freeware (My SpeQ Portable)... But unfortunately you can not use the script for it. But you can get examples from it. And the prettyness is from a plugin called mui (Modern User Interface).

you cant use the copyrighted parts of it. For example the wizard.bmp and the branding are copyrighted so you cant use them without permission.
